Great! Let’s go ahead and create an affiliate program for your WordPress website.

Step 1 – Install Omnistar WordPress Plugin

The first thing you need to do is install the Omnistar Affiliate Software plugin to your WordPress.

To do this, visit the Omnistar WordPress Affiliate plugin page and then install it.

Next, you have to options for install the plugin.

The first one, you can upload it via FTP. If you use FTP, just upload the files in this directory `/wp-content/plugins/`

If you are not using FTP, you can upload the files from within WordPress by clicking on Plugins.

Next, you can click on Add New to upload the plugin.

After uploading it, you can active the Omnistar Affiliate WordPress plugin.

In the settings of the plugin, it is going to ask you to enter the application url. The application url is the url of where your Omnistar Affiliate Software is hosted. Here’s an example: http://youraccount.ositracker.com

Once you do this, Omnistar Affiliate Software is installed and you can now create your affiliate program.

Step 2 – Create Affiliate Program for WordPress

Omnistar Affiliate Software is now integrated with your WordPress. You can now create an affiliate program and start using it to promote your WordPress.

To do this, log in to your Omnistar Affiliate dashboard.

From the admin dashboard, you want to click on Campaigns.

Then, click Add campaign.

Enter your affiliate program details from this page.

You will need to give your affiliate program a name, give it a description, and specify what type of program it is. Are you going to be paying affiliates a commission? Or a flat fee? All of this can be handled from this section.

Next, you need to enter the page you want customers redirected to after they click on the affiliate’s link or banner.

For example, most program usually send the customer to the home page of the store.

You can do this by specifying from this page. Enter your WordPress website home page on the landing page field below.

You affiliate program is now created. The next step is adding widgets to your WordPress that you can use to recruit affiliates.

Step 3 – Recruit Affiliates to your WordPress Affiliate Program

Omnistar Affiliate Software provides you with 4 methods you can use to add affiliates to your WordPress affiliate program. Below we will step you through the 4 methods.

Method 1. Social Share Sign up Widget:

The social share sign up widget is a great and easy tool for recruiting affiliates.

The social share widget only asks potential affiliates to enter their email address. Once they have provided their email address, the affiliate can immediately promote your WordPress.

The affiliate will be able to promote via Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and email.

Here’s how the social share widget works.

To create the social share widget, click on Campaigns > Manage Marketing Tools > Add Social Share Widget.

From this area, you can create your social share widget and then use the Omnistar Affiliate Software WordPress plugin to add it to your WordPress.

Method 2. Link to your affiliate website

Omnistar Affiliate Software provides you with an affiliate website you can use to recruit affiliates.

This website is customizable. You can customize the look and feel of the website. Here’s how the referral website looks.

You can modify this website with your logo and branding. Once you have customized it to have the look and feel of your website, you can then link to this website from your WordPress navigation.

You can add a link for Affiliates and then link to this affiliate website.

Users who visit this page will just need to fill out your affiliate registration form and then they will be added to your wordpress affiliate program. 

Method 3. Embed affiliate registration form on your WordPress

The third method of adding affiliates is by embedding the affiliate registration form on your website.

The difference between this option and the previous one is that in this option, the affiliate will be signing up from your WordPress. They will not be redirected to a website outside of your WordPress.

You can set up this option by going to Campaigns > Manage Marketing Tools > Add Social Share Widget

Scroll down and then click on Learn More for the option that says

Integrate a registration form into your existing website

Once you have created your registration form, you can use the Omnistar Affiliate WordPress plugin to add the form to your WordPress. Here’s an example.

Method 4. Add affiliates manually

The next method for adding affiliates to your affiliate program is by adding them manually.

You can do this from the affiliate admin dashboard by clicking on Users and then clicking on Manage Users.

Next, click on Add User.

This is the page where you can add users manually to your affiliate program.

Step 4 – Add Promotional Creatives for Affiliates

The next thing you need to do when setting up an affiliate program for WordPress is add promotion creatives for affiliates.

These are the materials affiliates can use to promote your WordPress.

To do this, click on campaigns from admin dashboard.

Then click on Manage Marketing Tools.

In this section, you will see the different options you can enable for your affiliates to use to promote your WordPress website.

The different options that affiliates can use to promote you are:

1. Affiliate banners

2. Emails

3. Uploaded affiliate documents

4. Affiliate promos

Step 5 – Customize Affiliate Dashboard

It is now time to customize the affiliate user area.

This is where affiliates login to get affiliate links, banners, etc.

It is also the same area where affiliates can keep track of their promotion and success.

When affiliates log in, this is what they will see.

From this area, you can see that affiliates can grab their affiliates links quick from this field

Next, affiliates have the option to promote you in social media platforms from these buttons

To track their success and commissions, affiliates can click on My Rewards as shown here

To dive into stats and analytics, affiliates can click on Stats

If you want your affiliates to have the ability to promote your WordPress affiliate program, you can enable it for them in this section

This is where affiliates can grab their recruiting link and use it to add affiliates to your program. This way affiliates can earn commissions when their recruits send sales.

That is a quick summary of the affiliate dashboard area.

Make sure you fully customize this section with your branding so that it will have your look and feel.

Step 6 – How to Pay Affiliates

When time comes to pay affiliates for promoting your WordPress website, you can do so easily from the rewards section.

Click on Rewards from the affiliate manager admin dashboard.

This is the section where you can manage your affiliate payments.

Click Manage Invoices to start the payment process.

Select the invoices you want to pay.

When you have selected all the invoices you want to pay, scroll down and click create PayPal Mass Payment File.

Once your payment file is created, just upload it into PayPal and all your affiliates will get paid immediately.
