Why Affiliate Marketing Works (Part 1 of 3)

There are many reason why affiliate marketing works and I thought I would share some of these reasons in a three part blog post because we want all of our readers to understand the power of affiliate marketing and why it works for every business. It is my belief that if business owners knew how easy it was to set-up an affiliate program and all the benefits of having an affiliate program, every business would immediately setup an affiliate program.

Everyone Wins

The first reason affiliate marketing is such a powerful tool for increasing your online sales is because it is a win / win situation for the affiliate user and for the vendor. Affiliate users will benefit because they will get to advertise a successful business and make money for all new sales that are a result of their efforts. There are many affiliate users who have earned millions of dollars by simply joining the right affiliate program and marketing that program.

The merchant benefits from having an affiliate program because they are essentially hiring sales representatives that they only have to pay if the sales representative brings in a sale. There is no other marketing vehicle that I know about that works like affiliate marketing where you can get others to promote your business and not pay them unless they are successful. Another great benefit to business owners is it is so easy to setup. Since there is affiliate software that allows business owners to setup an affiliate program in under an hour and totally manage the affiliate program through a user-friendly control panel that business has nothing to loose and with a minimum investment in their time, they can gain great rewards.

Improved Customer Loyalty

In most cases we have found that your affiliate users are actually your customers. Because once your customers buy your products and services and they are able to see how great they are, they end of signing up for your affiliate program. Once they sign up for your affiliate program, they are invested in your business because they are basically your virtual sales representatives. The customer, who is not an affiliate user has to stay up to date with any changes that are made within your business.

    I think affiliate marketing works if the affiliate manager is very active in providing his affiliate users with what they need. You have to be very active and make sure your affiliate users have what they need.
